Corpus Christi is the culmination of Sevilla’s Spring Festivals. On this morning the surroundings of the Cathedral provide the setting for a procession of religious objects and relics which is accompanied by the dance of the ‘Seises’, young boys dressed in medieval attire who execute an ancient and mysterious choreography in the Cathedral itself. During the course of this urban procession a gate is positioned in Plaza de San Francisco which changes its design each year, as is the case of the entrance gate of the April Fair.
