Centro de Interpretación Judería de Sevilla
The Centro de Interpretación Judería de Sevilla, located in the heart of the Barrio de Santa Cruz, functions as the starting point of all routes that take visitors through the maze of what is the former Jewish Quarter.
The 1700-year history of Sephardic Jews, includes a flourishing economy, vast cultural wealth, and persecution. Visitors can discover all this and more in the historic building located on Ximénez de Enciso, where it is also possible to sign up for various activities and guided tours, which highlight this legacy.
Seville’s Jewish Quarter was the largest in Andalusia during the Middle Ages and was the second most important Jewish Quarter in the Kingdom of Castille. This centre reconstructs this important neighborhood and showcases some of the most illustrious people from the Jewish community, along with traditional Sephardic objects.
To fully understand this rich cultural heritage, the centre has different activities for visitors of all ages.
