Town Hall

Ayuntamiento de Sevilla

Considered to be one of the most extraordinary monuments in Spain in the Renaissance style. Its most striking façade looks onto Plaza San Francisco, with numerous doors and windows decorated with representations of mythological and historical figures, floral bouquets and grotesques.

The interior of the building is equally impressive, above all the main hall with its vaulted ceiling made up of 35 stone sections containing portraits in relief of the different Kings of Spain prior to Felipe II. There is also an impressive stairway with a mixture of Gothic and Renaissance styles leading to the upper floor.
